  • Great SUV - 2003 Lexus GX 470

When you unlock the car the lighting seems to softly glow to on. It is very welcoming. The seats are very comfortable and it was easy to get them into the right setting quickly. The Nav must be the best on the market.Loaded with features and all of them are easy to operate. The Mark Levinson system sounds amazing. Controlling it from the steering wheel makes it very easy to use. Cruising at 70-75 the engine is very quite with an MPG of around 19.

  • VIBRATION: 1700rpm,esp 60mph - 2003 Lexus GX 470

Problems: 1) Lexus dealerships stuff all options on vehicle and make it difficult to order without certain options(like third row seats, Lexus Link) 2) there is an unacceptable vibration which occurs at approx 1700 rpm and is accentuated at approx 60 mph...as noted in another review there is no fix yet. I am UNHAPPY.

  • Superb Vehicle - 2003 Lexus GX 470

I just love this truck! It rides so smooth my husband calls it the airplane. No turbulence of course! The design is beautiful. It handles the road like a vehicle should. The V8 engine is great. The take off is fast and smooth.

  • So Far...So Perfect - 2003 Lexus GX 470

The fuel economy is not great but as good as expected for this type of vehicle. If I wanted better gas mileage I would have bought a 3 cyl. Geo Metro. Power is good but not great. The engine puts out less horsepower but equivalent or better torque than the larger V8s. More power is always better, in my opinion.

  • An Absolute Dream Machine - 2003 Lexus GX 470

The quality of this automobile is unsurpassed. We had the opportunity to take an offroading class with Landrover. As it is a remarkable SUV, it is simply that, an SUV. The Lexus GX deserves the title LUV! Its smooth quite ride, amazing cabin appointments, and functionality are stellar. We cant drive it enough!

  • Very nice, but needs some tweaks - 2003 Lexus GX 470

Driving this car is like piloting a cloud. Incredible ride - very quiet and very smooth! The 3rd row seating is a bit of a joke though. Im only 57" and I couldnt bare to sit back there for more than 10 minutes. Theres no way you could get 3 adults back there comfortably. Plenty of room on the 2nd row of seats, so much so that they should have moved those forward 3 inches to give the 3rd row more room. The Radio controls kinda suck since they put many of them on the video display screen which takes a long time to navigate, and a lot of attention which would be better spent driving.

  • Quite Pleased - 2003 Lexus GX 470

I am quite pleased with GX 470 I purchased in late July. My Blizzard Pearl GX has turned several heads. I havent seen this clor as of yet on the road or at any other local dealerships as of yet. However, I plan to trade in my 2003 for a 2004 because I just cant live with the after market installed DVD system. I will definately get the factory DVD this time. The current system doesnt take full advantage of the factory installed features like the Mark Levenson system or the factory installed system integration. The backup camera in the 2004 will be a blessing.

  • Rip Off at the dealerships - 2003 Lexus GX 470

The Lexus GX lists for 45,900.00 on the Lexus website and on the vehicle sticker. Edmunds lists the vehicle at 45,500.00. The dealerships just received one demo car fully loaded with all the bells and whistles. However, they are telling people that they Lexus is only going to send fully loaded vehicles to the dealerships. That means, you will have to live with options you dont really want like the $1,200 LexusLink. The service is free for one year and then you can either cancel the service or use it. You will however, be out of $1,200 because that is the cost of the unit. I think Ill go back to the Acura MDX where I do have some options.

  • Another Lexus in the Family - 2003 Lexus GX 470

Got this Lexus loaded with every option except the Lexus Link - heard there were problems with that!!! We hope to own this as long as we still own our LS which is a 93. I know Lexus can make cars that get good fuel economy - why does this only get 15 city and 18 highway.
